Izzat Hassan

I am a fifth year PhD candidate (Economics) at Sogang University and will be graduating summer 2026. My research interests lie in applied microeconomics, specifically focusing on issues related to urban policies and environmental challenges.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the use of machine learning techniques to generate data from unstructured sources. Currently, I am working on a project that extracts data from historical maps of South Korea.
