The assembly hall of the University of the Basque Country (in Basque, Bizkaia Aretoa UPV/EHU) is a building designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, located in the Abandoibarra area of Bilbao in the Basque Country (Spain). It was inaugurated on September 21, 2010.
It houses the auditorium of the University of the Basque Country, complementing the Library of the University of Deusto, designed by Rafael Moneo. Shaped like an L, its main facade is covered with handcrafted gray tiles, with the rest highlighted in white marble. Surrounding the building, in addition to the library, are the Iberdrola Tower, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, and Euskadi Plaza.
