DETAILS:
Calling All High School Seniors Interested in Medicine!
Seeing the Me in Medicine is a free program, funded through the Texas Joint Admissions Medical Program, for current high school seniors only. This is an educational enrichment workshop for rising college freshmen (current high school seniors) identified to have an interest in medicine. The workshop curriculum agenda will include a Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP) information session, a campus tour, leadership lessons, motivational faculty guest speakers, near peer-mentorship by current medical students, a session in a gross anatomy lab, workshops intended to help students envision themselves as future physicians and overcome imposter syndrome, a question and answer panel with JAMP medical students, and several hands-on lab activities. Students will be provided with exposure to role models, authentic learning experiences and build a sense of belonging in the professional medical community"
