The Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming you to IWANASP 2026 in Vienna, Austria, on September 1–3, 2026. The International Workshop on Analysis and Numerical Approximation of Singular Problems (IWANASP) provides a forum for presenting and discussing recent advances in the numerical analysis of differential and integral equations with singularities.
The workshop aims to bring together mathematicians working on such problems across different fields. Topics include asymptotic properties of solutions, discretization methods, modelling of physical phenomena with singularities, numerical solutions of singular boundary value problems, numerical integration of functions with singularities, and computational methods for integral equations with singular kernels.
To date, there have been seven editions of IWANASP. The first IWANASP was held in 2004 at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon), the second IWANASP was organized by the Aegean University, Samos (Greece), in 2006, and the third edition was held again in Portugal (Ericeira) in 2008; the fourth edition was organized by the University of Chester (Chester, UK) in 2011. In 2015, the fifth IWANASP was held in the city of Lagos, in the south of Portugal, and the sixth IWANASP was organized in Cagliari, Italy. The seventh IWANASP was held in 2023 in the north of Portugal, Régua.
