Services at the church continue! Doors will open at ~10:50, and it will be an abbreviated service. Social Distancing will be maintained, and guidelines require that masks be worn into and out of the church.
If anyone is interested in being a delegate to this year’s District Conference (the church can send 4), please contact Steve Reynolds. This year’s conference will be held virtually on November 13 and 14.

1 I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. 2 Every day I will bless you, and praise your name forever and ever. 3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall laud your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. 5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will mediate. 6 The might of your awesome deeds shall be proclaimed, and I will declare your greatness. 7 They shall celebrate the fame of your abundant goodness, and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. 8 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Praise the Lord for beautiful music! The special music today is a song I performed with the Juniata Concert Choir many years ago (this is a different choir, though). As soon as the first notes hit my ears, I was washed in the most wonderful chills and memories. Close your eyes, and let the beauty envelop you; I pray it bless you as much as it did me. from Allison Stetar
From Virlina District: Pray that peace might prevail in our communities, our nation and our world, every day and especially on the International Day of Prayer for Peace on September 21. Let us manifest acts of healing, compassion and reconciliation each day with all whom we encounter. from Virlina District

Let us remind ourselves of 2 Corinthians 12: 9 & 10:
"But he [God] said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.' So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong."
May God's grace continue to bless us, and may his holy spirit help us to grow a grateful heart for the work the Lord has set before us to do.
Amen.
