Due to COVID-19 the Leadership Team has decided that holding a Church Forum to approve next year's budget would not be feasible. Thus, Steve Reynolds emailed the proposed budget to church members on Thursday, November 12th at approximately 9:00 am. Please take time to look over the budget. If you have any questions or comments, please let him know by November 30th. If no questions or comments are received, the budget will stand approved.
The Christian Education team has purchased an Advent Calendar and magnetic Advent Wreath (like the one used in the Advent video to the left) for members. Those attending church should have received theirs from Rita Furr. Ones for those unable to attend church right now were mailed November 27th. The Christian Education Team hopes you enjoy this small way to unify our Advent celebration despite being socially distant this year.

Prayer for Israel's Restoration
To the leader: on Lilies, a Covenant. Of Asaph. A Psalm.
1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock! You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth 2 before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh. Stir up your might, and come to save us! 3 Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved. 4 O Lord God of hosts, how long will you be angry with your people's prayers? 5 You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in full measure. You make us the scorn of our neighbors; our enemies laugh among themselves. 7 Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.
17 But let your hand be upon the one at your right hand, the one whom you made strong for yourself. 18 The we will never turn back from you; give us life, and we will call on your name. 19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.

How long have you ever stayed awake continuously? By the end, were you still aware of your surroundings, or were things starting to blur together?
In today's scripture from Mark, Jesus reminds his disciples that they must "stay awake" and "be aware," because the hour of his return is unknown. Does Jesus really want us to not sleep? No. But, he does want us to be ready for his return at a moment's notice. Read more by clicking the image below.
