Keep It Together is a 'five-piece DIY rock band' that was formed in London in 2022. It consists of members Jake (vocals/guitar), Bitter Stemmed Fork (vocals/guitar), Ethan (drums), Seb (bass), and me, Ivy (saxophone/keys)!
I joined the band in May 2024, and have been playing saxophone, synth, and various other instruments for live performances since.
This event at The Stag's Head in Hoxton was organised entirely by Jake (of Keep It Together) and Celeste Madden, as a protest against the corrupt ways of many promotors in the live music scene. It was also my first time performing with Keep It Together!
We performed on the main stage at Furzedown Fun Day. Our performance was broadcast on Riverside Radio, alongside an interview with our lead vocalist Jake.
This show at Tooting Tram & Social was our first time playing at an event organised by Manaka Yaji, who would continue to help us find gigs to play and promote for us!
We opened for Celeste Madden at The Victoria in Dalston.
We played an acoustic set at Harvest Fest at Set Social in Peckham, to raise money in aid of Peckham Foodbank, which had been robbed on the 8th of September.
This event was the launch party for 'Are You Entertainment?', Manaka Yaji's new independent events organisation, held at The Star in Shoreditch.
We played at The George Tavern in Stepney!
