Martina Thielecke of Tina Thiel Interiors
Martina Thielecke is the founder of TiNA THiEL INTERIORS – VEGAN SUSTAINABLE, a Berlin-based interior design studio specialising in vegan and sustainable interiors. Her work combines elegant and eclectic design with calm, harmonious spaces and a subtle
touch of glamour.
Growing up in Braunschweig (Lower Saxony, Germany), Martina developed an early interest in space, furniture and the way interiors can be both beautiful and practical. She studied Interior Design in Hildesheim (Lower Saxony) from 1986 to 1992 and gained
experience in architecture practices, kitchen studios, furniture retail, shopfitting and interior design studios. After moving to Berlin in 2000, she became self-employed in 2006.
Vegan for 16 years, Martina gradually began to bring her personal values into her professional work. She stopped using animal-derived materials, first in her own home and later for her clients. At a time when vegan material choices were still limited, she began researching and sourcing alternatives that aligned with her values and design standards. Today, Martina creates individual interiors using carefully selected vegan, sustainable and innovative materials, with a focus on natural alternatives rather than conventional synthetic substitutes. Her aim is to show that vegan interiors do not have to be plain or predictable: they can be elegant, quietly expressive, personal and full of character.
