I'm an economist working on topics in public, welfare, and labour economics. The keywords of my research are: inequality, income (re)distribution, distributional impact, poverty, living standard, well-being, welfare, tax-benefit microsimulation, job quality, wage gap, optimal taxation, preferences for redistribution. My choice of research topics and questions is shaped by my left-leaning political views.Â
I occasionally do consultancy projects for clients such as international institutions (e.g., the World Bank, European Parliament, World Health Organization) and ministries and agencies of the Croatian government.
I received my Ph.D. in economics from the University of Zagreb in 2015 and have been with the Institute of Economics, Zagreb since 2008. For more details, see my full CV.
