Online (Prelims) Round:
Task:
Participants are required to create a game using the online platform Gamefroot (available at make.gamefroot.com). Participants are encouraged to experiment with the different tools and features available in Gamefroot to develop their unique game. They should aim to create a game that showcases their creativity and technical skills while providing players with an enjoyable experience.
Guidelines for Creating an Arcade Game Using Gamefroot
Explore Gamefroot: Familiarize yourself with the platform's features and tutorials.
Define Your Idea: Choose the arcade game type (platformer, shooter, etc.) and outline its unique story, characters, and objectives.
Mechanics: Outline player actions and interactions, such as jumping, shooting, and collecting items.
Characters and Environments: Create engaging characters and themed backgrounds using Gamefroot’s tools.
Visual Design: Develop attractive graphics and color schemes appropriate for your audience.
Audio: Incorporate sound effects and background music, using royalty-free options or original compositions.
Submission Requirements: Upon completion of their arcade game, participants must submit the following items:
The exported JSON file from Gamefroot. Participants should ensure that they follow the correct procedure to export their game file from the Gamefroot platform.
A 1-minute video explaining the game they created. In this video, participants should provide a clear overview of their game, including its title and storyline.
On-Campus (Final) Round:
Participants who score above the qualifying threshold will advance to the final on-campus round, where they will receive the task at that time and will be required to complete it during the event.
