Grade: III
Participants: 1
Format: Online + On-Campus
Online (Prelims) Round:
Task:
Participants are required to create a fictional cartoon character using Microsoft Paint 3D. Participants should focus on designing a character that reflects their unique style, incorporating various shapes, colours, and textures available in Paint 3D.
Time Limit:
Participants will have a total of 10 minutes to complete their character design. This time frame is designed to encourage quick thinking and efficient use of the tools provided in the software. Participants should manage their time wisely to ensure they can finish their design within the allotted period.
Submission Requirements:
At the end of the 10-minute period, participants must submit two items:
A video recording of their process while creating the cartoon character. This video should clearly show the steps they took to design their character, providing insight into their creative process.
The Paint 3D file of the completed character. This file will allow the judges to evaluate the final design and assess the use of software tools in creating the character.
On-Campus (Final) Round:
Participants who score above the qualifying threshold will advance to the final on-campus round, where they will receive the task at that time and will be required to complete it during the event.
