Since I've heard the name "Beneviento", I immediately started to think that Capcom may have used italian folklore as source of inspiration: in southern Italy, there is a town called "Benevento", which is famous for its folk stories related to witches (in Italian, "Strega", in local dialect "Janara"): it is literally the symbol of the city, you can even see on the logo of the Serie A football team of Benevento the shape of a witch, and a famous liquor produced there is called "Strega".
And again, Donna (which by the way isn't a witch but looks a lot like one, specially in the "Village of Shadows" representation, and also is familiar with alchemy, as we know through some notes) is an italian word, meaning "Lady": it is hence very likely that the four founders of the houses were coming from different corners of Europe: Heisenberg= a German name; Moreau= a French name; Beneviento (or Benevento, which at this point I think they didn't us for some kind of copyright reason related to the city)= an Italian name; Dimitrescu= a Romanian name (I wish we knew more about the founders and their backgrounds)
