Istyle privacy policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Istyle lets you open SRT, WebVTT and ASS subtitles, preview and style subtitle cues, import TTF/OTF fonts, save style presets and export styled subtitle files.
Files and local storage
Files are selected through Android's system document picker. Istyle reads the selected subtitle or font and stores working subtitle data, imported fonts and presets in app-specific storage on your device. Styled ASS exports are saved to the app's Documents/Istyle/Jobs folder. You can review, share or delete completed exports in the app. Istyle does not upload subtitle text, subtitle files, imported fonts or presets to an Istyle server. App-specific files are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
Advertising and consent
Istyle uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services may process device, advertising, diagnostics and interaction information to request, deliver, measure and protect ads, subject to available consent choices and Google's policies. A rewarded ad is optional and appears only after you choose to watch it. Istyle grants an export batch after Google reports that the reward was earned. Banner and native ad inventory may be unavailable.
Permissions
Network access and network state are used by ads and consent. Subtitle and font files use Android's document picker; Istyle does not request broad access to shared storage.
Privacy controls
Use More → Privacy choices to review or change consent options where Google makes them available. Delete completed exports from Jobs. You can remove all locally stored files and presets by clearing Istyle's app storage or uninstalling the app.
Children
Istyle is a general utility and does not knowingly collect information directly from children. Ad serving is governed by the configured Google Mobile Ads account settings and Google's requirements.
