Race 5 - 2021

In the media this week...

  • PRESS RELEASE: Solid State Drive’s spokesperson Jack Arson commented on last week’s race: “The levels of damage last week were unprecedented. Many teams, and not just ours, suffered severe crashes that lead to hours upon hours required in the workshops to get the cars repaired for this race. I wish everyone good luck, as there is only so much we can do to prepare ourselves for a race.”
  • PRESS RELEASE: With his slow rise to prominence, the public quickly turns their attention to Ragnar Slipper questioning his reasons for joining the rest of the family. "It has always been my dream to stand amond my siblings, to see the track beneath the wheel of my car as I aim for the top. It is like a dream come true to have had so much success in so little time. I've also always liked to squash bugs."
  • PRESS RELEASE: Unlike his brother, the last two seasons have been full of disasters for the one star of the Slipper family. Despite having his records undefeated, Airen Slipper's prowess is now questioned by many of the fans of this competition. "It is true that these races have been disastrous. It is true that it seems like my time has come and gone. But, like I proved in the last race, I am still here to compete! I'll keep striving to Crush all my adversaries. My place is still among The best and I will not be giving it up easily. Especially not to Spiders or others like them."
  • PRESS RELEASE: Ton Agron Gofaster Racests LLC would like to take this opportunity to deny and refute all rumours about Mr. Drivemans supposed 'heart attack'. Mr. Drivemans is in perfect health. The pictures currently circulating online showing a very pale, sweaty and arguably naked Mr. Drivemans clutching his chest are fake. They're photoshops. Our experts have counted the pixels and the maths do not add up. It's a programmed lie. Cariano Drivemans is as healthy and alive now as he was fourty years ago. He remains Greece's greatest racest driver and, ultimately, the gofastest.
  • PRESS RELEASE: Hello everyone! Once again I'm here to apologize for something that happened during a Racina race. This time it's for the shocking images of her removing her helmet after a race, revealing a face covered in blood and teeth bared in feral bloodlust. As it turns out, Racina had become quite frustrated with her position in the race and chewed her lips off! To make sure this doesn't happen again we've installed rubber teeth guards so she cannot bite off pieces of herself or the rest of her pit crew. Honestly, we probably should've done this sooner. We've also given her a new mask over the lower half of her face, to hide her horrid and grotesque visage. Fans! Send your face mask art and you might see it printed onto her mask! (WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO APOLOGIZE FOR ANY POTENTIAL ISTOCK CENSORSHIP #FREESPEECH #RACINATRUTHERSUNITE)
  • Daniel Burman has a super week and sits second for the race. "Sometimes we forget how blessed we are to do this for a living; hopefully I can turn this into a big win for our team."
  • Lars Ungar has sanctions issued personally against him for illegal modification of engine. He's fined and dropped down the order, warned that any further transgressions will result in suspension.

TURN 19 - YELLOW FLAG

TURN 20 - TV - TOP - And what a final lap it looks to be! Airen Slipper leads and fends off brother Ragnar - only just! It's now Daniel Burman's chance, and it's down to the line between the top four It's only a well-timed boost from Airen that keeps him ahead, and there was not a lot Burman could do about that other than waste his own! Hard luck for Daniel and what a finish!
