Race 11 - 2021

iStock Racing Series

In the media this week...

  • PRESS RELEASE: Solid State Drive Driver Jane Kinglet commented on last week’s racing performance of her fellow driver Bargain Bill: “I am beyond surprised that he lost. Truly unbelievable! The season is coming to a close soon, so I decided to spend the night before the race quadruple-checking his car and strategy in an apparently pointless attempt to make the race count. Even while watching him race I felt *sure* that he was coming into the top 5, but every time I look at the leaderboard it’s like I... just remember the race wrong. As if the outcome has been overwritten. But surely that can’t be possible! ... I hope. Anyway, the next race is closer to this point in time than the last one will ever be, so there is no point lamenting about a past that could’ve been when we can focus on the future that awaits SSD!”
  • PRESS RELEASE: After a short interview where he congratulates his younger sibling in the Aeon series Airen Slipper is seen wandering into an alley. Many of his fans seeking an opportunity to get an autograph followed only to find it empty. A fan that stood watch for the entire day swears that he saw Airen leave from the building on the opposite side of the road with ketchup on his hands. Many speculate that considering the fact that the building he left is the famous pizzeria Don Cleaner, he probably went there to eat and they missed him in a moment of distraction.
  • PRESS RELEASE: Ragnar Slipper is seen walking for the umpteenth time drunk out of a bar mumbling about rigged races and unfair circumstances. Many wonder if the racer is going to plummet to the bottom but he is quick to assure them he will be victorious and defeat all other racers... When he is sober enough to say it.
  • PRESS RELEASE: Yellow In Front Forever were saddened by the hostility shown in SSD's recent announcement, as it goes against the warm and fuzzy environment we foster for all drivers to reach their peak in the warm bosom of this great series. We were surprised to learn that it took the greatest of their R&D minds to simply create a list of four drivers, and hope there is some real investment in developing those engineers' talents. While it is technically true that Yellow In Front Forever does not have an R&D department currently, Jack Arson knows full well this is because our R&D team was spun off into a successful and highly profitable business designing and manufacturing niche marital aids. SSD can come at us as hard as they like with their alloys of speed and burning desire for revenge. We are equipped to deal with the hardest comers. Let us be clear that Yellow In Front Forever will come harder, at the optimum pace and with a desire only for love. If SSD's burning becomes too much of an issue, we recommend increased use of lubricant; I'm sure your R&D team would have figured it out once they recovered from the mentally exhausting list making.
  • Race Practice Results: A permanent improvement for Ariel Pryde, with Selinia Spiders, Varalia Spiders, Hana Pryde and Daniel Burman all improving for this race.
