Race 6 - 2019

Developmental Racing Series

In the media this week...

  • Winter McFish has good times for the week, particularly for someone who is usually so off the pace in time trial sections of our calendar. She'll start 20th.
  • Al Houns participates in a charity event a few miles north of the race, and is warmly regarded despite being a Welshman in the depths of Scotland. He'll start 8th.
  • Checkers McGreen has an excellent week and will start with a performance boost. He'll start in 5th.
  • Randy Flamethrower is interviewed after getting out of the car having set 10th place. "The conditions -- I didn't think they were ideal. But we gotta adjust to that and come up with a plan."
  • Selinia Spiders has recurring tyre problems and will begin down in 27th.
  • Klodeus Cig has a heavily publicised autograph session which goes extremely well and is good for his public image all round. He'll begin in 11th.
  • Lem Tables has a good week and will start in 26th. He's interviewed just before he sets his pace lap: "Out there on the track, we kept at it pretty good. There was some things we could've done different -- but there always is."
  • Baker Mudfield is also interviewed in controversial scenes. Still hot after a poor performance which will start him in 28th, "I was telling my crew something wasn't right. They weren't listening, and now look where we are."
  • Gary Gannet has a fantastic week with hot lap after hot lap, and North Isles Racing will be delighted that he starts in 6th.

RACE 6 - 2019 - 25 turns

HONDA UK 250

KNOCKHILL, SCOTLAND

Remember that each turn is 10 miles, and is represented by the skill being checked and the group of drivers being checked. With regards to groups, 1st - 7th is TOP, 8th - 19th is MIDDLE and 20th and below is BOTTOM.

TURN 1 - SMART - MIDDLE - A quiet start, with only Lefty Louis (12) overtaking Ignacio Del Gato and moving to #4.

TURN 2 - TROUBLE - MIDDLE - well, it wouldn't be the dev series without this. Sweet Clyde gets it wrong and puts it into the barrier, but everyone else gets around it. Al Houns, Dr. Strangeloaf, Xander Louis, Randy Flamethrower, Klodeus Cig, Corky Cadorkian, Cam Cargo, DelBoy Trotter, Bargain Bill and Rodney Trotter avoid trouble. Jack Carmichael does too, but has to use his boost to get around the problems.

TURN 3 - YELLOW FLAG - Sweet Clyde is off and running again.

TURN 4 - DUEL - or not, as Winter McFish and Jack Carmichael decide not to have a go so early in this race.

TURN 5 - HEAT - BOTTOM - Paul Blart (23) overtakes Al Houns and moves to #8, but Sweet Clyde, Tom Reynolds and Lem Tables fail to move.

TURN 6 - PROBLEM - Bargain Bill has an issue. Handling problem, pits. He repairs, but drops to last.

TURN 7 - PIT TURN - Boosts for Al Houns and Winter McFish due to their fast pitting. Victor Lucky, the leader, is slow getting off, and is taken by Ignacio Del Gato, who now leads.

TURN 9 - HEAT - TOP - Checkers McGreen senses his chance and uses his performance boost to take the lead, but this is a wasted chance other than the bonus points, as he's immediately overtaken by Victor Lucky who was sitting in third. A dramatic section of the race! VICTOR LUCKY LEADS!

TURN 10 - REFLEX - MIDDLE - Rodney Trotter (17) overtakes Jac Houns and moves to #4, but is then overtaken by Winter McFish who is running extremely well so far. However, it appears 4th is very popular at the moment, as Randy Flamethrower swoops in on mile 98 to take the position.

TURN 11 - RARE - TOP - SURGE - Jac Houns gets the bit between her teeth and she pushes all the way to the front! JAC HOUNS LEADS!

TURN 12 - REFLEX - MIDDLE - Paul Blart (13) overtakes Rodney Trotter and moves to #7, and Lefty Louis (10) overtakes Ignacio Del Gato and moves to #4.

TURN 13 - SMART - MIDDLE - Xander Louis (15) overtakes Victor Lucky and moves to #2, while Klodeus Cig (12) overtakes Checkers McGreen and moves to #4.

TURN 14 - HEAT - MIDDLE - Al Houns (14) overtakes Checkers McGreen and moves to #5, Gary Gannet (14) overtakes Victor Lucky and moves to #3, and Randy Flamethrower continues his great day by moving past Xander Louis into second.

TURN 15 - REFLEX - TOP - no movements - Jac Houns fends off Xander Louis, and Randy Flamethrower can't get his acceleration levels correct.

TURN 16 - SMART - MIDDLE - again, no movements, as Corky Cadorkian and Lefty Louis fail to get moving, and Al Houns uses his boost to keep Winter McFish back.

TURN 17 - PIT TURN - Great work from Cardiff City Racers, with both Al and Jac Houns gaining boosts for the final section of the race. However, Jac is immediately required to use a boost to hold a lead challenge back from Randy Flamethrower.

A final lap gasper also takes place, as we see Lefty Louis forcing his way through the pack from 12th, just stealing 2nd from Al Houns on the line, spoiling the Cardiff City 1-2!
