Welcome and welcome back to Georgia State University Perimeter College for fall 2020! We have been looking forward to your return. We are committed to supporting and serving you in the safest possible manner this fall semester. ISSS will continue to provide phone and virtual advising options,. Here is some important information about how we will serve you:

ISSS will not have in-person walk-in advising this fall. Please do not travel to campus or visit the office without first contacting ISSS so we can determine the most safe and efficient way to help you.

Dunwoody Campus ISSS Office Update
The ISSS staff at Dunwoody Campus have been temporarily relocated to the Clarkston Campus ISSS Office. All services are being offered virtually from the Clarkston Office until further notice. Because we are providing services virtually, we ask that students not travel to the Clarkston Campus without an appointment. Instead, please first call or email ISSS so we can conveniently assist you from wherever you are without the need to travel.
DEADLINE: FALL 2020 HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT & WAIVER
Student Health Insurance is mandatory for F-1 and J-1 students attending Georgia State University. If you have adequate health from another qualified ACA compliant provider, and you wish to waive the GSU insurance for Fall semester 2020, the waiver request period is June 23 - September 2, 2020. Fall coverage begins 8/1/20 and ends 12/31/20
Note: Insurance Waivers are not granted automatically, and you must renew your waiver each semester.

Perimeter College students may purchase PGH Global Health Insurance to waive SHIP
PGH Global meets insurance coverage requirements to waive SHIP.
If you will keep your GSU Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), you must ACTIVATE INSURANCE coverage by the September 2nd deadline.
Full-Time Enrollment Reminder
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS: For SEVIS Reporting purposes, all Perimeter College international students must be properly enrolled or re-enrolled via the “registration adjustment” process if you were dropped for non-payment, by August 24th. Enrollment requirements are >> HERE <
Important Reminders
FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT REQUIRED: Undergraduate - 12 credit hours minimum. Based on SEVP Guidance issued on July 24, the Fall 2020 F-1 Enrollment is as follows:
New Students
New students entering the US are required to be enrolled full-time and at least one class should be blended (B) or face-to face (F) for the Fall
Continuing Students
Continuing F-1 students who are unable to take a full-schedule of face-to-face or blended courses are eligible to enroll in all online classes to maintain status fall semester.

There are no exceptions to full-time enrollment without an approved RCL. See Below.
REDUCED COURSE LOAD (RCL): If this is your final semester, or you have a valid medical reason to be under-enrolled, the deadline to request an RCL via iStart is: August 28, 2020
FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE: The payment deadline for tuition and fees is August 24 by 5:00 PM. After this date, your enrollment will be automatically dropped if not paid in full.
Students who register during Late Registration, Aug 24th - Aug 28th, will incur a $50 late registration fee.
COURSE REINSTATEMENT PERIOD: Wednesday, September 2 – Friday, September 4
Students who are dropped for non-payment must go through “Course Reinstatement” and should follow the instructions in the email from Student Accounts to reinstate courses. The process is fully digital, and specific guidance is provided in the message from Student Accounts.
The process takes 3-4 days but does not stop the SEVIS reporting deadline. Failure to complete registration adjustment by the SEVIS deadline of September 18, 2020 will result in termination of status. (SEVIS reporting is done by ISSS.)

The Learning and Tutoring Center at Georgia State University, Perimeter College, will provide FREE tutoring for students fully online fall semester
Tutors are available seven days a week for live online drop-in sessions for individuals and groups during tutoring hours. Student can also schedule an online appointment with a tutor, or submit a question for a tutor.
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm-6:00pm
