Always wishing being the best, to please,
Always wishing to be perfect, and all this why?
Just to have ignoramus friends?
The attention?
The fame?
And all this definitely what for?
End up alone?
To end up out stretched in the rubbish of one evening? For finally end up with a heart in crumbs?
We do all this because inside of us,
There is a void which, little by little, has destroyed us, We do all this just to be surrounded,
Be cherished,
And be hasten to count for someone.
And this is what we should never forget,
But what we all do is that...
Good friends never seek out, they find out…
No need to change who we are for whomsoever,
Because good friends love you as you are…
Have you ever felt this feeling?
The chest which fastens,
The heart broken at the news that you have lost a close friend.
A friend who has always shared with you the ups and downs.
A friend who,
Whenever you meet,
Always tries his best to make you smile.
A friend who knows you more than anybody else,
With whom it’s difficult to keep quiet,
The person who keeps you in his heart,
But who is no longer there.
This emotion that petrifies your life,
An emotion of guilty,
Of extinction and hopelessness.
You feel haunted by his memories,
His laughers,
His voice and above all,
His face.
These emotions that send you to solitude,
These emotions which gnaw you,
Which slowly burn you,
This emotion of not seeing your friend any longer.
Music was raging, Alcohol flowed,
The bodies were moving and the mirrorball was shining...
Your dark brown eyes couldn't leave the luminous artifact reflecting all possible
colors and projecting them throughout the room like a fallen sun...
And you,
Lost in the vacuum that had become your Saturday evening,
You called me and turned your camera, sliding your voice like a spring wind
into the depths of my mind, while whispering...
"This mirrorball represents you well because, just like it, you are a sun, an
angel fallen straight from paradise to illuminate and reflect the light around
you and especially in my life"
And at this very moment,
I was able to say loud and clear and with all my will
"You're warm but cold and I'm cold but warm”
