The paintings are a collection of works presented as a diary.  More than anything its a journal and record of journeys in and around Britain and other places I have visited that inspired me to paint, not the presented aesthetics, but the emotional and spiritual content and baggage associate with adventure involving humans!  

I began my journey with watercolours.  I wanted them to be vibrant and not dull and wishy washy as you might see in a museum or gallery of old Master paintings.  I also wanted them to be expressive and fun mark making projects.  

The British woodlands are one of my absolute delights.  Walking along the trails and being covered in dappled shade by the trees is a joy!  The woodlands are colourful and beautiful in all the seasons.  Explosions of variegated colour make the woodlands magical and magnificent.  You can imagine fantastic beasts which do not make any less the wonder of catching a glimpse of a dear or a red squirrel!

The whole point of creativity is to have fun or say something important.  I don't have much to say except I love to have fun painting!
