ISMRM JPC 2019

来る12月13日、MRIに関する世界最大の学会である「国際磁気共鳴医学会 ISMRM (International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine)」に所属する日本人会員が集まり、千葉市の放医研（量研機構）において、学術集会を開催いたします。

ISMRMは、MRI医学に関連する最も先端的な研究者が集まる学会であり、日本チャプターは2016年の設立以来、大阪大学（NICT）、2017年に理研、2018年に名古屋大学と3回に渡って学術集会が開催され、共同研究を視野に入れた学術的な議論、若手の交流とISMRMでの採択率の向上などを目的に、毎年活発な議論が展開されています。

今回のテーマは「Beyond the fields（分野の垣根を超えて）」と題して実施いたします。基礎と臨床の境を超え、専門分野の垣根を超え、そして言語や習慣の境を超えて、活発に議論をお楽しみいただけること、心より願っています。

さて今年のJPCでは、通常の学会よりもフランクで密な議論をお楽しみ頂くために、一般演題は全てポスター形式として、参加者相互での採点方式を導入、また魅力的なポスター賞も多数ご用意いたしました。講演では、最先端分野を分かりやすく理解できるreviewを中心に、著名な講演者をお願いしました。

12月に千葉市にてお会いできますことを、楽しみにしています。

ISMRM JPC 2019: Ichio Aoki, PhD. (Chair, 2019)

On December 13th, Japanese members of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), the world’s largest academic society for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), will gather for a scientific meeting at the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science Technology in Chiba city, Japan.ISMRM is where the most advanced researchers in MRI in medicine gather. Since the Japanese Chapter (JPC) was established in 2016, three scientific meetings have been held—in Osaka University (NICT), RIKEN in 2017, and Nagoya University in 2018. Every year, active discussions take place for the purpose of facilitating academic exchange with a viewpoint to promote joint research as well as improve interaction between young researchers and their acceptance rate by ISMRM.This meeting’s theme is “Beyond the fields.” I sincerely hope that you will take part in active discussions that go beyond fundamental and clinical boundaries, specialized fields, and language and customs. This year, at JPC, in order for participants to be able to enjoy discussions that are franker and more detailed than those in ordinary academic meetings, all general presentations will be in the form of poster presentations. A scoring system where participants rate one another will be introduced, and many attractive prizes will be given out for the best posters. For the lectures, we have asked prominent speakers to make their presentations on cutting-edge fields in review format that can be easily understood. I look forward to seeing you in Chiba in December.
