The 1st ISMET-Africa conference

Microbial Electrochemical Technology: 

Bridging Innovation and Sustainability

5-7th of February 2025 - Ain Sokhna, Egypt

This conference is the first international event of its kind in Africa to showcase Microbial Electrochemical Technology in the African continent. This field is witnessing growth and diversity in Africa with an aim to solve societal problems such as high energy cost and limited accessibility in remote areas, water quality and scarcity, reduction of pollution, sensing pollutants in different media and resource recovery.  The increasing number of African researchers joining this field, and their limited international exposure has been the motive behind introducing African researchers to the global ISMET society. Organizing this conference in Egypt will bring together researchers of common interest, highlight Egyptian research in MET field and will place Egypt as the leader to take such an initiative. The conference will feature the latest breakthroughs in microbial electrochemical technologies that bridge the gap between innovation and sustainability.
