To begin the competition yesterday, Gooris set a new personal-best in the 100 meter dash, finishing with a time of 11.30. In the long jump, he finished with a leap of 22-7.00 followed by an impressive throw of 45-7.25 in the shot put, placing him sixth in the event.

During the high jump competition, he jumped a height of 6-4.75, tying for sixth place in the event. Gooris finished with a time of 51.09 in the 400 meters, beating his season-best time from the 2013 outdoor season at UNI.

Celebrate Independence Day in Manitowoc at 4th on the Shore!
