Mosquitos Island

Little Mosquito Island (in the Gulf of Guinea) is a small island in central Africa. This island forms the Autonomous State of the Small Island Mosquitos. This state is governed through an assembly system since its creation on November 22, 2004.

On August 29, 2005, the island government signed the treaty of annexation to the Kingdom of Riboalte. On September 2, 2005, the Statute of Autonomy of the Small Island Mosquitos is approved in referendum and is declared official on September 4, 2005.
