Bélep is a commune in the northern province of New Caledonia islands, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. It has almost 1,000 people living in an area of about 70 km2.
The communal territory is formed by the archipelago Belep, that are to the north of the mainland of New Caledonia. The two main islands of the Belep archipelago are Art Island and Pott Island. The rest of the archipelago is formed by the islands North and South, and several very small islets.
The administrative center of the commune is the Waala settlement, on the island of Art, the largest of the Belep Islands.
