12. Account Deletion

13. Push Notifications We may send you push notifications to provide reminders for events you have saved to your plans, updates regarding local fetes, or important service announcements related to IslandPulse. To deliver these notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google.
Data Collection for Notifications: To ensure these messages reach your specific device, IslandPulse collects and stores a unique FCM Registration Token (a device identifier). This token is used solely for the technical delivery of notifications and is not shared with any third parties other than Google for processing purposes.
User Control and Opt-Out: You can opt-in or out of these notifications at any time:
In-App: By adjusting your preferences within the app settings (if applicable).
Device Settings: By navigating to your Android device's Settings > Apps > IslandPulse > Notifications and toggling the permission off.
For users on Android 13 or higher, the app will explicitly ask for your permission to send notifications upon first launch or when you attempt to save an event.
