One of the original fat ass events on the island! Venture into the beautiful and wild East Sooke Park. This run passes abandoned copper mines, and jaunts along the beautiful Coast Trail, with lots of up & down & up & down. 

Inspiration for this event may have come from an elaborate April Fool's Day prank from the BBC in 1957.

Meet at the ANDERSON COVE entrance, not Aylard Farm. Limited parking, so please carpool!

Short Course ~ 13k

Optional post-run bevvies & food at 17 Mile House pub! 5126 Sooke Rd.

Like all Island Fat Ass events, this is a self-sufficient run: Print a course map, download the gpx route or otherwise know your way (it's ok to get lost at little)! No aid stations or course markings.
