At IslamPulse, we are committed to providing a secure, respectful, and transparent experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal data to ensure accurate Islamic services, ad optimization, and technical performance:
• Precise and Approximate Location: We collect your location data to calculate accurate prayer times (Salat), Qibla direction, and sunrise/sunset times specific to your area.
• Device and Advertising Identifiers: We collect technical details such as Device Model, OS version, and unique mobile advertising IDs (such as Google Advertising ID / GAID) to serve optimized advertisements and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Personal Information: If you sign in (via Google), we collect your name, email, and profile photo to sync your bookmarks, notes, and premium status.
• AI Interactions: Text prompts you enter into "IslamPulse AI" are processed safely by Google's Generative AI (Gemini) to provide answers.
• User-Generated Content: Comments or reactions you post in our "Islamic Updates" feed are stored to facilitate social interaction.
• Payment Data: For premium subscriptions, we use Google Play Billing. For manual donations, we collect transaction IDs and phone numbers for verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
• To provide core services (Prayer times, Qibla, Quran, etc.).
• To manage premium subscriptions and sync data across your devices.
• To deliver, optimize, and measure the effectiveness of advertisements served through Google AdMob.
• To improve AI response quality and app stability.
• Transparency: We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third-party marketing agencies.
3. Data Storage and Security
All cloud data is stored securely using Google Firebase. We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
• Local Data: Usage statistics (Quran reading time, Tasbih counts) are stored locally on your device for your privacy.
4. Third-Party Services and Advertising
To facilitate core features and monetize our app, we work with trusted third-party service providers who may collect information used to identify your device:
• Google Play Services & Google Play Billing
• Firebase (For Authentication, Firestore Database, and Crashlytics Analytics)
• Google AdMob (For displaying customized and non-customized advertisements. Google AdMob may use cookies or mobile advertising IDs to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.)
• Google Maps API (For Mosque Finder and Location features)
• Google Generative AI (Gemini API) (For Islamic AI Assistant)
• YouTube Player API (For displaying Islamic Videos safely)
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You have full control over your data:
• You can edit or delete your Islamic Notes and bookmarks anytime.
• Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly through the Profile Settings in the app. Alternatively, you can email us at support.islampulse@gmail.com, and we will delete all your associated data from our servers within 48 hours.
6. Children’s Privacy
IslamPulse is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental guidance. For our advertising, we comply with Google Play's Families Policy and children-directed restrictions where applicable.
