Hello there, you probably came to this website either from a poster hanging up or someone telling you about it, maybe you even found it on the internet. This website, Isla Prehistórica is my personal project.
My name is Collin Henderson and ever since watching Jurassic Park, Walking With Dinosaurs, Land Before Time, and some National Geographic shows in my youth I have been obsessed with the prehistoric world. I eventually wanted to make my own Jurassic Park like game, this quickly grew into the encyclopedia you see today instead of a game or an educational museum.
I am honestly happy with what I have created here and I want you to enjoy it as well. This website is here for anyone who wants to learn about dinosaurs, it contains all of my personal knowledge about the prehistoric world. With that being said, thank you for being here and have fun exploring the encyclopedia.
How did I make it?
You are probably wondering how I made all of this, it all started as an old google doc that I made listing off dinosaurs with my friends. This quickly grew into a slideshow on google docs where I became popular in school for it. Eventually I added buttons, indexes, and a whole lot of navigation to the presentation because it had hit 100 slides. I finally gave it the name Isla Prehistórica just for fun and made everything look a bit prettier than it did back then. My teachers were always amazed about how many slides I had added and how much I knew about these creatures.
I made the website using google sites, I wanted to share the presentation with people without having to actually share hte file with them. Eventually my teaccher told me about google sites and I made the very website you are reading from right now. I quickly realized that I needed to list my sources because of legal reasons and to be more professional but other than that it is here. With that all being said, if you truly want to make something like this and you have an idea, I say go for it and don't let anyone stop you from chasing your dreams.
