Welcome to this survey!
You have received the invitation to participate because you graduated as an Irish Sign Language interpreter.
This survey, conducted by Dr. Isabelle Heyerick (Trinity College Dublin), investigates if the sign language interpreting profession is currently sustainable or not.
We want to understand why people who have obtained the qualification as an interpreter do not work as an interpreter, have stopped working as an interpreter, or have reduced or increased their working hours as a Irish Sign Language interpreter.
The time to take the survey depends on your current professional situation as an Irish Sign Language interpreter.
In any case, the survey should not take longer than 15 minutes. However, there is no time limit and you can take as much time as you need to fill out this survey.
It is up to you to decide if you want to fill out the survey.
If you decide to start the survey, you can abandon it at any time.
If you filled out the survey and submitted the answers, you can still withdraw your participation. Simply send an email to Isabelle.heyerick@tcd.ie and ask to delete your submission.
You can read the full information of what your participation in this survey entails in the Participant Information Document.
The survey closes on February 1st 2024.
All your answers will be anonymous and will be handled in compliance with the Research Ethics Committee of Trinity College Dublin.
By starting the survey and submitting the answers at the end of the survey, you give consent for the use of the data you provide as stated in the Informed Consent Form.
