Ishtiaq Ahmad (Senior Member, IEEE) is currently a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the 6G Mobile Research Lab, Czech Technical University in Prague, since January 2023. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2007, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Inha University, South Korea, in 2014 and 2019, respectively. Since 2008, he has been serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at Gomal University, Pakistan.
His research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence technologies for 6G systems, Quantum Machine Learning, Quantum Communication, Cybersecurity, Aerospace UAV Autonomy and Autonomous Vehicles, Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Edge Computing, Semantic Communication, Mobility and Radio Resource Management, and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces.
He was awarded the Jungseok International Scholarship for his M.S. and Ph.D. studies at Inha University in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. In 2019, he received both the Outstanding Research Award and the Excellent Student Award from Inha University for his excellence in journal publications and research achievements.
He currently serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT) and as an Editor for Springer Nature Telecommunication Systems. Additionally, he has acted as a Lead Guest Editor for numerous prestigious IEEE journals and magazines. He is a technical reviewer for several leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, Elsevier Vehicular Communications, Springer Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences, IEEE Access, Nature Scientific Reports, and Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies.
He has also served in IEEE conferences as Workshop General Chair and Industry Panel Moderator for prestigious IEEE GLOBECOM and IEEE ICC conferences.
