Magister Ishmael Stedfast Reed
Ishmael Stedfast Reed is the son of Puritans from south-western England, born in the year 1561. His family ensured he was college-educated, that he may better study the Bible and theological texts, and ensure his salvation. However, as often as it happens today, exposure to the Classical poetry, history, and philosophy left him hungry for more. And so, he took his education with him to the Courts of Elizabeth I, with the hope of joining the young men flourishing under her patronage in the 80's and 90's: Sidney, Spenser, Marlowe, Shakespeare. Soon after Reed arrived, other talents would be right behind him: Ben Jonson, John Donne, and others.
He had his work cut out for him to attain Her Majesty's notice.
