Hello, and welcome to “If Socrates Had a Podcast”! I am your host, Vinay Kalva. I must announce that, unfortunately, I will not be able to release Episode 4 today. I sincerely apologize for the continuous delays in the past few weeks, as I am continuing to work towards establishing a consistent and reliable production schedule. I have been doing this in bits and pieces at the moment, and it will take some time for me to reach the point where I can release episodes on time 100% of the time. However, while I aim to achieve this goal, I under no circumstances wish to sacrifice quality in pursuing it. It is my firm conviction that every episode I release is thoughtful, carefully crafted, and effectively produced. Accordingly, for the remainder of 2025, please be prepared for some hiccups in release. I will ensure that I release a short episode like this one if I do not have an episode ready. Nevertheless, I strive to maintain a biweekly schedule, and my goal is that, starting in 2026, I have a consistent biweekly production schedule and enough buffer to follow through with it.
In the meantime, I have an extremely important announcement that I would like to make: I have a new website! Please do visit sites.google.com/view/ishappodcast (that’s i-s-h-a-ppodcast, no hyphens in between) and check it out. You can find transcripts for every episode under “Episode Transcripts”; just click on that episode’s cover image or the link on the bottom. All transcripts include direct links to the podcast episode page on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts, and the substantive episodes list the texts that I have used and provide the relevant avenues for finding them (ISBNs for books and DOIs for papers). Additionally, I have placed a contact form on the “Contact” page, so you can reach out to me there in lieu of emailing me at ishap.podcast@gmail.com.
Thank you for your support so far as I continue to learn and grow alongside you. Making this podcast has been nothing less than pure joy, and I hope to keep doing it as long as I can. Episode 4 will be released on Saturday, November 29th. Until then, this has been “If Socrates Had a Podcast”. Thank you for your valuable time, and have a wonderful day.
