Dr. Elisa Schaeffer (https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6300-7208) is an Associate Professor of Applied Digital Intelligence and the Academic Director of Technology and Innovation at the McGill School of Continuing Studies. She has a keen interest in computational intelligence, and her research jumps around the potential applications of graph theory and machine learning, touching areas such as social sciences, medicine, economics, and forestry. She is passionate about digital learning, real-time and asynchronous, and an early adopter of emerging software and hardware solutions to facilitate teaching and research, especially open-source solutions

Dr. Vasileios Paliktzoglou, an academic and industry professional, holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Eastern Finland. He is an active contributor to academia, serving as an guest and associate editor for prestigious journals like the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE) and IAFOR Journal of Education. His research interest focuses on social computing, collaborative learning and emerging technologies, where he actively participates in international research projects. Dr. Paliktzoglou’s expertise and commitment continue to shape the academic and research landscape at Bahrain Polytechnic.

Dr. Chei Sian Lee is currently an Associate Professor at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where she is also the Associate Chair for Faculty. She is actively involved in research on issues related to everyday user-information interaction at work, school or play. Specifically, her research focuses on how digital and emerging technologies can be designed to facilitate everyday user-information exchanges and be used to change social behaviors, benefit communities, and create social good. More recently, she is investigating the the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence from an information-oriented perspective. She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer and Information sciences from the National University of Singapore and her PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Liautaud Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Abdelaziz Zohri (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9037-3710) Abdelaziz Zohri, PhD in Education Siences, is an associate professor of Research Methods and Change Management. He is a co-founder and the Strategy Builder of Africa Voices Dialogue, a panafrican NGO that promotes Education in Africa. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Florida Atlantic University and published papers on Education Policy in Turbulence, Leadership and Equity, The social Psychology of success etc.

Biography
Martin Maier is a full professor with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Montréal, Canada. He was educated at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, and received MSc and PhD degrees both with distinctions (summa cum laude) in 1998 and 2003, respectively. In 2003, he was a postdoc fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA. He was a visiting professor at Stanford University, Stanford, CA, 2006 through 2007. He was a co-recipient of the 2009 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award. Further, he was a Marie Curie IIF Fellow of the European Commission from 2014 through 2015. In 2017, he received the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Foundation in recognition of his accomplishments in research on FiWi-enhanced mobile networks. In 2017, he was named one of the three most promising scientists in the category “Contribution to a better society” of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) 2017 Prize Award of the European Commission. In 2019/2020, he held a UC3M-Banco de Santander Excellence Chair at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Madrid, Spain. Recently, in December 2023, he was awarded with the 2023 Technical Achievement Award of the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) Tactile Internet Technical Committee for his contribution on the 6G/Next G and the design of Metaverse concepts and architectures as well as the 2023 Outstanding Paper Award of the IEEE Computer Society Bio-Inspired Computing STC for his contribution on the symbiosis between INTERnet and human BEING (INTERBEING). He is co-author of the book “Toward 6G: A New Era of Convergence” (Wiley-IEEE Press, January 2021) and author of the sequel “6G and Onward to Next G: The Road to the Multiverse” (Wiley-IEEE Press, February 2023).
