Introducing Behind the Mic

For this month’s edition, we (Liya and Atrisa) have created our fourth series of Beyond the Mic, titled Behind the Mic. Behind the Mic is our final series — not a goodbye, just a behind-the-scenes look at how it all began. From how we met to how the podcast idea came to life, we’re sharing the real (and sometimes chaotic) journey of building Beyond the Mic. This series is all about the fun moments, the late-night ideas, and everything we learned just by doing it together.

We’ll start off with Off Script Friendship, an episode in which we go back to where it all began — how we met and how our friendship started, an insider look at the friendship that made the podcast possible. Next, in Accidental to Actual, we’ll dive into how our first ideas came together and our process of recording, editing, and figuring it all out as we went. We’ll then move on to Still Hitting Record, a reflective look at what this project means to us and why this podcast became something we loved showing up for. Finally, we’ll wrap up with The Guest Reunion, an interview with two of our past guests to talk about their behind-the-scenes stories, favourite moments, and what it was like being on the podcast.
