Edition 14 is the last edition of the 2025-26 academic year. See you next year!
This book is mainly about a girl named Amy who went on a wild adventure with her friends to find her dad. She wanted to show him how good she was at driving and her car with innovative features that her friend Rahul had invented. The story was a heartwarming journey about family, friendship, determination, and hard work. It was an adventurous roller coaster ride!
Amy, who was 11 years old, had loved cars ever since she had been in a serious car accident at age 8. The accident caused her to break her back and be in a wheelchair. Amy loved cars and always wanted to own a car and become a racer. But that wasn’t going to happen soon, due to her wheelchair. Her dad was a race car inventor who lived in Scotland, her mom loved saying quotes and her brother Jake was always being annoying. Nevertheless, she loved her life and was a bright, imaginative girl. One day, when her wheelchair became rickety and she got a new speedy, advanced wheelchair, she had an amazing idea to turn this thing into the car, so she asked one of her best friends, Rahul (who loved inventing things and making innovations) to modify it and make it cooler. Her mom became suspicious of the sudden disappearance but Amy kept making excuses. Later when she witnessed the wheelchair car, she was shocked, as it had turned into an astounding car with four seats and Amy was able to drive it! But when her dad saw it, he got furious and told her to take the car apart and turn it back into a wheelchair because it was very expensive and that it was a stupid idea. But to prove her dad wrong, she drove all the way to Scotland with determination and the support and help from her brother and friends. They encountered various problems and interventions on the way to Scotland…
Want to find out what else happened in the book? Well, I am afraid I can’t tell you that—you have to read it yourself!
I liked and enjoyed this book, especially the unexpected turns and twists like when the parents of Amy, Rahul, Janit, and Jake found out and started chasing them. I think the funniest moment in the book was when the children (Jake, Amy, Janit, and Rahul) went to a very expensive restaurant and didn't have the money and then tried to escape by pleading with the waiters.
This book was very inspiring and had a strong message that dreams come true and to never give up on your dreams. This book was an amazing and adventurous journey full of fun and drama. I would recommend this book to people who like an engaging adventure full of imagination and fun.
If you don't like to read long books with lots of words, don’t worry. Don’t judge this book by its cover. It might look like a book full of long chapters, but it also includes fun illustrations between chapters. So go on, read this book, and join the adventure along with Taylor and her crew!
Hope you check out this book and enjoy it!
