By Atrisa Panoutsos
Although the internet can sometimes be a distracting world, it is possible to focus and drown out the unnecessary noise and achieve your goals. In this article, I will be focusing on digital studying and how you can use the internet to reach your full potential.
Pomodoro Timers
These timers help to space out your studying time. Set a timer for 25 minutes, and focus on a single task until the timer rings. When your session ends, you can enjoy a five-minute break. After four pomodoros, take a longer, 15-30 minute break. There are timers especially made for this, as well as videos on YouTube.
Forest
Forest is a popular productivity app that helps people manage their time in an interesting and pleasant way. Every time you focus and complete a task within the time that you set for yourself, you can plant real trees around the world with the credits.
Study With Me Videos
Study with me videos can be useful if you get distracted while studying with someone physically. A lot of these videos include pomodoro timers and help with time management and can help you stay on track. You could also Facetime/Whatsapp call an friend to study together and set yourselves on mute so you don't talk too much!
Notion
Notion is great for organising notes and to keep track of your class assignments. Notion has many to-do list and project management features. At the most basic, you can make checklists on any Notion page.
Music
Studying is so much easier when you are in a good mood. Music that is soothing and relaxing can help to beat stress or anxiety while studying. During long study sessions, music can encourage you to keep going and finish whatever you’re working on.
