Bridge Design Project

This project calls for the designing and constructing of a model wooden truss bridge. Requirements include having the bridge length be 18’’ (36 meters in reality) and must be composed of only quenched and tempered steel. The maximum weight is 50 g. Options of customizability include the choice solid & hollow bars. The arched abutment is optional as well. When a design in chosen, the 2D sketch will then be drafted in SolidWorks and printed out from there with the exact dimensions. Once the structure has been built, it will be tested by running a ¾’’x 2’’ block through the bridge.
