Ph.D. Candidate in Aesthetics, Uppsala University

I'm currently a Ph.D. candidate in Aesthetics within the Philosophy Department at Uppsala University (since November 2016). Before moving to Sweden I worked in Spain as an art gallery assistant. Previously, I completed a M.A in History of Contemporary Art with a mention in Art Criticism at Autonomous University of Madrid— in collaboration with the Museum Reina Sofía (2014)—, and a Philosophy degree at the University of Murcia (2013).

My research focuses on aesthetic, epistemic, and value questions concerned with the nature of intellectual emotions, the rationality of our aesthetic judgements, and the role of emotions in the grasp of aesthetic reasons within an art appreciation context. More recently I have been specially interested in the phenomenon of aesthetic akrasia.

I am also the coordinator of the Nordic Network for Women in Aesthetics.
