About me: I am an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University, where I have worked since 2016.
Previously, I was an NSF postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at Harvard University. I received my Ph.D. from Yale University in 2013 under the supervision of Professor Gregory Margulis.
My research is partially supported by NSF grant DMS-2154408. In the past, my work has been partially supported by the Simons Foundation.
Research interests: I am broadly interested in algebra, number theory, and arithmetic geometry. Much of my current research deals with the arithmetic of algebraic groups over higher-dimensional fields and Galois cohomology. I also work on the analysis of abstract homomorphisms of algebraic groups over general fields and rings. Further details can be found in this survey paper.
Videos of my past talks at the Banff International Research Station, the Institute for Advanced Study, and the online seminar on Quadratic Forms, Linear Algebraic Groups, and Beyond can found here, here, here, here, and here.
Conferences: I am a co-organizer of the BIRS workshop Arithmetic Geometry and Algebraic Groups (25w5323), which will take place September 28 to October 3, 2025.
Current teaching: In Spring 2025, I am teaching MTH 496: Bilinear Forms and Group Representations and MTH 919: Number Theory II.
