IPTViewer ("the App") is developed by MA Soft. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect
IPTViewer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We do not require account creation or login. The App does send pseudonymous usage and stability diagnostics, tagged with a random per-installation identifier that is described in section 9.
2. IPTV Playlists
The App loads IPTV channel playlists (M3U/M3U8 files) from URLs you provide. Playlist URLs and their contents are:
- Fetched directly from the URL you enter
- Cached locally on your device for faster loading
- Never sent to our servers or any third party, with one exception: when a stream fails to play, the App reports the provider's hostname, port, scheme and a category for the path (live/movie/series) so that failing providers can be identified. The full URL, the channel path and your credentials are never transmitted.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access the playlists you load.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob — Displays advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing — Processes in-app purchases for premium features. Handled entirely by Google Play. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Grafana Faro and Grafana Loki — Pseudonymous usage and stability analytics. Collects non-personal event data (e.g., channel plays, feature usage, error occurrences, cold-start timing) to help improve the App, tagged with a random per-installation identifier described in section 9. No personal information, channel names, or playlist URLs are transmitted, and no advertising ID is sent. Privacy Policy: https://grafana.com/legal/privacy-policy/
- EPG Providers — Electronic Program Guide data is fetched from publicly available EPG sources based on your playlist's configuration. Only channel identifiers (tvg-id) are used for matching.
4. Local Storage
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Loaded playlist and channel data
- Favorite channels
- Disabled sources
- Selected categories
- EPG (program guide) cache
- App settings (theme, PIP, background playback, mute preferences)
- Sleep timer configuration
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
5. Permissions
- Internet — Required to load IPTV playlists, stream channels, fetch EPG data, and display ads
- Foreground Service — Used to continue audio playback when the screen is off or the app is in the background
- Wake Lock — Keeps the device awake during playback to prevent audio interruption
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top.

9. Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time. IPTViewer stores nearly all data on your device and does not require an account.
Delete data stored on your device: Uninstall IPTViewer, or clear its app data via Android Settings > Apps > IPTViewer > Storage > Clear data. This removes favorites, playlist URLs and Xtream Codes credentials, EPG (programme guide) cache, watch history, recently-watched channels, and all app settings.
Delete telemetry data: IPTViewer sends performance and error diagnostics (cold-start timing, stream error classes, crash reports, feature usage) to Grafana Cloud. These records contain no name, email address, account, phone number, advertising ID, playlist URL, or credentials. Each installation is assigned a random identifier ("install ID") the first time you open the app. It is generated on your device, is not derived from your hardware, your Google account, or your advertising ID, and is never shared with advertisers or any other third party. Its only purpose is to group events from the same installation so we can measure stability and how features are used. This makes the data pseudonymous rather than anonymous: records from one installation can be linked to each other, but not to you as a person. The install ID is stored only on your device, is excluded from Google backup and device-to-device transfer, and is destroyed when you uninstall the app or clear its data; a new, unrelated ID is generated if you use the app again. Telemetry is automatically deleted after 30 days. To request earlier deletion, open Settings in the app, copy the ID shown beneath the version number at the bottom, and email it to miav6666666@gmail.com. We will delete exactly those records within 7 days. If you have already uninstalled and no longer have the ID, email the approximate date range and country where you used the app instead, and matching records will be purged within 7 days on a best-effort basis.
Data retention summary: On-device data is kept until you uninstall or clear app data. Telemetry is auto-deleted after 30 days.
