In Memory of Katsuya Kodama
The APPRA leadership paid tribute to the late Katsuya Kodama, who served IPRA as co-Secretary General twice, from 2016 to 2018, and from 2010-2012, and as solo SG from 2000 to 2004.
IPRA 2023 Conference Website Opened
The website for The IPRA 2023 Conference [https://www.ipra2023.org] has now been launched. The conference, “Rooted Futures: Visions of Peace and Justice,” will be held in Trinidad and Tobago in May 2023. Hans Günter Brauch explains the political background to the war in Ukraine in an interview with RNZ. * * *Leo Semashko (Russia) edited the volume, Anti-Nuclear Manifesto XXI, with contributions from prominent peacemakers including IPRA's Executive Committee member Stephen Amoah (Ghana). Although the book was published in 2020, it has a timely relevance to the memory of Olga Vorkunova, and to current events. * * *In the article, "Sacred and Sobering," Roy Tamashiro introduces The National Memorial for Peace and Justice and The Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama (USA).
JOURNAL NEWSIPRA's formal partnership as co-publisher of Peace and Change has officially launched with Volume 47, No. 1. This IPRA Special Issue, includes with contributions from every region of our network. IPRA members can access the journal via the email address used for paying the 2022 IPRA membership dues.
Peace and Change is professionally managed by the Peace History Society, in cooperation with IPRA.
