this is an issue many users have experience since Iphone 12. When recording at 240fps with an iphone14 Pro (and the latest firmware), most the times the video is recorded at a much lower frame rate (200fps, 177fps). The only fix is restarting the phone, but the fix only lasts a few more recording, then it's choppy again.

I upgraded from my iphone XS to a 14 Pro a few months ago and really, the main reason that I upgraded was to replace my XS with a newer better phone to specifically shoot 240fps with inside a water housing. The 14 pro was having constant problems drifitng away from the 240 fps to do pretty much whatever it wanted. They had me redo the entire operating system and a bunch of other things before eventually replacing the phone. The new one's been behaving till yesterday when it too started setting the frame rate at whatever random number that it wants to. I turned the phone off and then back on which seemed to bring it back to 240fps. This is an ongoing issue though. I'm not sure why these newer iphones are having this issue, but it's not good enough Apple. I can absolutely say without any dobt at all, that I would NOT have purchased this phone knowing that there is an issue with the 240fps. Right now, I'm considering getting rid of the 14pro because it's useless to me if this issue can't be fixed.

Again, the slo mo issue that plagues iphones since the 11 pro - in my case, the last phone that fully worked for me - is actually damaging my job. I am a videomaker, and in my videos most times I get to shoot things that are non repeatable. And it is a gamble whether some will be shot properly or not in slo mo. I will have to replace the iphone with a camera, the opposite of what I had decided years ago, because of this - with a huge impact on my workflow. Extremely disappointed. And I cannot believe Apple does not have the capacity to solve this.

I assume Livelink and facial motion capture became avaible to us since iPhoneX.

Do You know if Apple upgraded their dot projector or IR sensor or whatever True Depth is responsible for facial motion capture since model X ??

12+ got LIDAR upgrade, but im not sure if this supports capture quality in live link or other mocap systems.

Make your own / buy a 3d printer and print it at 1/4 the cost.

The only important part is that you conter-balance the weight of the phone for actor comfort. If you do that, you can even add dedicated light to help the iphone not screw up.

So many of our users keep telling us their FaceCam is one of their favorite tools. It certainly rounds out full-body motion capture systems comprised of XSens MVN suits and Manus gloves. Check out the following clip, (link is in the comments), created in Unreal: Blu faces off with a Metahuman. Ep2

Note that the algorithms used by CMDeviceMotion are pretty good at separating gravity from user acceleration but under certain kinds of motion there may be some lag before the values become correct, I would love to here from someone with a better solution.

Hey guys, I filmed some stuff on my iphone in 60fps but its coming up in slow motion when i put it into my timeline in premiere. Very annoying. If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated

A file directly out of a phone or other similar 'device' will almost undoubtedly be VFR ... variable frame-rate media. What you set the phone for is the "target" FPS, and depending on whether there's motion and of what sort, the phone will try to save on data to write by constantly shifting how many actual frames per second it captures. The audio is of course captured directly.

Create natural-looking motion without the need for complex calculations using preset behaviors like Gravity, Throw, and Vortex. Use Text behaviors that animate letters, words, or lines across the screen. Or apply the Overshoot behavior to easily create spring-loaded animations. You can even combine behaviors for more advanced motion animations.

Quickly animate text on or off the screen by choosing from more than 100 behaviors including Type On, Blur Out, and Text-on-a-Path, which sets your text in motion on a trajectory that angles, bends, or twists. You can also create unique animations by moving letters just where you want them.

Designed without compromise for the photographer, filmmaker or casual shooter. Motion Variable ND Filter allows you to adjust your iPhone camera to any environment. Capture long exposure photography and add cinematic motion blur for upping your filmmaking game.

Stop motion video is really fun, and increasingly easy when you take into account the very efficient mobile apps and desktop programs available. One very important thing for stop motion is keeping your camera still. There are plenty of stands that you can buy, and plenty of tutorials for how to make one, but I wanted to make an easy, cheap, sturdy, and collapsable option. Perhaps you don't have wads of cash, perhaps you'll only use it once or twice, maybe you forgot your fancy one or just don't have time for something more complicated. You can make this in ten minutes with minimal tools and free materials.

When all slots have been marked and cut, put them together, starting with the two largest pieces, then adding the narrow piece (which should slide on from the bottom), and finally sliding your phone into the larger slots. There will be a piece of cardboard that runs across your screen; pull up your stop motion app, and align your phone so that the cardboard isn't obscuring your photo button.

Album motion makes your album artwork come alive. Motion artwork provides a richer experience for your audience by helping set a mood or accentuate the concept of an album, before anyone presses Play.

Your Apple Music album page is a dedicated space to feature your unique album cover art. Continuity between your album cover and motion art is critical for a great user experience. Follow these guidelines below to deliver motion art that takes your album art to the next level.

The motion art should be based on the album cover art. Any motion you use must remain focused on the album cover art for the full duration of the animation. Motion cannot include cuts to other images in the edit.

The entire canvas of the Album Page motion 1x1 is safe to place artwork. The Album Page motion 3x4 includes UI elements that need to be considered as you create your art. A safe area guide is provided in our downloadable templates for you to toggle on and off to check your artwork placement.

Motion art should not be pixelated or blurry. It should be created from high-resolution source files, as the artwork will appearon high-resolution displays. Do not try to increase the resolution of motion deliverables from low-resolution files.

Summary of background data:  Recent smartphones, such as the iPhone, are often equipped with an accelerometer and magnetometer, which, through software applications, can perform various inclinometric functions. Although these applications are intended for recreational use, they have the potential to measure and quantify range of motion. The purpose of this study was to estimate the intra and inter-rater reliability as well as the criterion validity of the clinometer and compass applications of the iPhone in the assessment cervical range of motion in healthy participants.

Methods:  The sample consisted of 28 healthy participants. Two examiners measured cervical range of motion of each participant twice using the iPhone (for the estimation of intra and inter-reliability) and once with the CROM (for the estimation of criterion validity). Estimates of reliability and validity were then established using the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC).

I had almost immediate motion sickness and nausea while looking at my iPhone (12 mini). It was very complicated for me to look at the screen for more than several dozen seconds. Answering a simple text message was enough to give me symptoms. Don't even try to browse the news for a few minutes, you will get sick and it will last for tens of minutes after that.

I definitely have visual fatigue with the new generation of screens but this is not related to this post. I can assure you that I just couldn't spend enough time on my phone to feel any eye strain before feeling a slight vertigo or motion sickness.

Of course if you still have motion sickness when using your phone reasonably then this was not the issue and you can look for another answer.

I used my phone way longer than usual without any symptoms for more than two weeks now. I don't know the scientific explanation to this, maybe focusing on the wrong distance due to the screen protector idk.

Slow-motion videos can be great for capturing more detail, adding dramatic effect, or simply allowing you to appreciate a moment at a slower speed. Check out how you can create slow-motion videos using your iPhone or convert your existing videos into slow-motion videos using Adobe Express.

Slow-motion footage is captured with a higher FPS (frames per second) and shutter speed. The iPhone features various FPS options depending on the model. The normal FPS on the iPhone is 30. However, the iPhone 5S records slow-motion videos in 60 FPS, the iPhone 6 and 7 record at 120 FPS, and the iPhone 8 through to iPhone 12 models record slow-motion videos at 240 FPS. 0852c4b9a8
