RIT MAKEATHON

The centre for Internet of things, Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology is organizing a national level makeathon event in the month of September 2018 with the theme of Smart Cities. Main objective of the event is to connect the young minds with the industries for getting innovative solutions for the unsolved problems related to the smart cities development.

The theme for the event is the Development of Smart Cities which mainly focus on

· Smart transportation,

· Smart Infrastructure,

· Smart Water Management,

· Smart Waste Management

· Smart health care and

· related areas

Selection Process :

1. Innovative ideas are expected from the engineering students as teams (Team size: 2 to 4 members) for the unsolved problems related to the smart cities development through online proposal submission portal.
2. 100 proposals will be shorlisted at Phase - I and online mentoring will be provided by industry experts to develop the proposals into a prototype.
3. The Progress report should be submitted online for Phase -II evaluation.
4. Top 25 innovative ideas may be shortlisted for the finals at our campus .
5. The jurie members will evaluate the ideas and prototypes with necessary feature addiiton to the already develped prototype.

Target Audience:

The students of the Engineering Colleges/Universities all over India.

Time line:

1. Call for proposals open :15^th July 2018

2. Call for proposal close : 21^st August 2018

3. Announcement of Proposals shortlisted (100 teams) : 25^th August 2018

4. Progress submission (report & Video) : 10^th Sep. 2018

5. Announcement of Shortlisted for finals (25teams ) : 15^th Sep 2018

6. Finals : 24^th &25^th Sep. 2018
