Work in progress
Raffaele is a 4th-year PhD student in the SEMM program, hosted in the Iorio Lab. He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology from “Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca” and subsequently completed a second-level master’s degree in “Bioinformatics for Functional Genomics” at “Università degli Studi di Milano-La Statale.”
Before joining the Iorio Lab in 2021, he gained extensive experience as a Bioinformatician through various research roles at institutes in the Milan area. His current PhD project focuses on developing prioritization pipelines to identify functionally relevant morpho-related gene targets in Glioblastoma tumors. This involves integrating functional genomics, pharmacogenomics, and morphological data with single-cell and bulk transcriptomics, employing a wide range of advanced statistical approaches.
