Work in progress
Letizia completed her bachelor’s degree in Genomics at the University of Bologna in 2023 and a master’s degree in Quantitative and Computational Biology at the University of Trento in 2025.
Following her master’s thesis, which was carried out at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and focused on developing machine learning approaches to improve the stratification of breast and ovarian cancer patients, she now continues to explore her interest in cancer genomics. Her current work focuses on optimizing and refining the computational implementation of CRISPR-VUS, a CRISPR-enhanced analytical framework for the characterization of variants of unknown significance, while also exploring new research directions aimed at better understanding genetic vulnerabilities in cancer.
