Work in progress
Archana received her bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from SRM University in Chennai, India and her master's in Systems Medicine from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She then completed her doctoral research in Computational Biology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where she developed software to simulate, merge, and visualize genome-scale metabolic network models.
Following her Ph.D., Archana worked in a computational toxicology group where she analyzed the sex-dependent molecular and metabolic mechanisms underlying PFAS-induced liver injury.
Archana joined the IorioLab as a Postdoctoral researcher in May 2026. Her research is focused on integrating and conducting meta-analysis of CRISPR datasets, and developing and optimizing methods to identify and prioritize cancer/disease therapeutic targets. This work is a part of the Open Targets Perturbation Catalogue project.
