This Privacy Policy describes how Recstar Player ("we," "our," or "us") handles user data and privacy when you use our mobile application ("Application"). We take your privacy seriously. Recstar Player is designed as a neutral, local-only media player utility. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how your information is handled.
Recstar Player does not require user accounts, registration, or profiles. We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as:
Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
Physical addresses or precise geographic locations
IP addresses (except as handled in transient network requests standard to internet protocols)
Recstar Player is a generic player. All M3U playlists, streaming links, and channel logs you connect to the Application are:
Processed entirely locally on your device.
Saved persistently only within your device's native, secure UserDefaults sandbox.
Never transmitted, backed up, or shared to our servers or any third-party databases.
The Application integrates Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK to display interstitial advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process anonymous user identifiers for advertising purposes.
Standard information processed by Google AdMob includes:
Device identifiers (e.g., Apple's Identifier for Advertisers - IDFA) for advertising tracking.
Coarse/approximate location data (country or city level derived from IP).
Device type, OS version, and network carrier information.
Ad interaction statistics (e.g., clicks, impressions).
Note: AdMob's data collection is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and your device's native tracking permissions (App Tracking Transparency). You can manage tracking permissions at any time through your iOS Settings.
When submitting Recstar Player to the App Store, you should declare the following data usages in the "App Privacy" section:
Identifiers (Device ID): Used by third-party advertising (Google AdMob). Declared as: Used for Third-Party Advertising, Linked to User (Anonymous ID).
Usage Data (Product Interaction): Used by Google AdMob to track ad clicks and conversions. Declared as: Used for Third-Party Advertising, Not Linked to User.
Our Application is generic in nature and does not target or knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided anonymous data through AdMob tracking, you can disable tracking via the iOS device settings or contact Google AdMob support.
Because we do not store, process, or maintain any personal user data on external servers, we are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). All rights to access, erase, or modify your connected playlists are executed directly by you by deleting the playlists or uninstalling the Application from your device.
Should you have any questions or require additional details regarding our privacy practices, you may contact our development support channel.
