Invoice Fetcher — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026

INTRODUCTION
Invoice Fetcher (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps you download invoice PDFs and order receipts from your own logged-in shopping and pharmacy accounts. This policy explains what information the Extension handles and how it is used.
---
SUMMARY
• Invoice downloads and order processing happen locally in your browser.
• We do not operate a backend server that stores your orders, invoices, or login credentials.
• Optional anonymous usage analytics may be sent to PostHog if you leave analytics enabled.
• You can turn off analytics at any time in the Extension footer.
---
INFORMATION THE EXTENSION ACCESSES
When you use the Extension, it may access:
• Your browser sessions on supported shopping and pharmacy websites, only to check whether you are signed in and to read your order history pages you already have open.
• Cookies for those sites, only to detect login state in your browser.
• Order and invoice data visible in your account on those sites, only when you click Download.
• Local preferences (selected platforms, month, UI settings) stored in Chrome’s local storage on your device.
The Extension does not collect your passwords. You sign in directly on each third-party website.
---
WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
• Passwords or authentication secrets
• Full payment card numbers
• Order IDs, invoice filenames, or error messages in analytics
• Personal contact information unless you voluntarily email support
---
WHERE FILES ARE STORED
Downloaded invoices and screenshots are saved to your computer using Chrome’s download feature, typically under Downloads/Invoices/YYYY-MM/. The Extension does not upload those files to our servers.
---
OPTIONAL ANALYTICS
If analytics is enabled (on by default, with a checkbox to opt out), the Extension may send anonymous usage events to PostHog (https://posthog.com), EU region: eu.i.posthog.com.
Examples include:
• Extension installed or opened
• Download started or completed (counts and platform names only)
• Coarse error categories (e.g. “login required”, “network”) — not full error text
• Extension version and a random anonymous client ID stored locally
Analytics is disabled when you uncheck “anonymous usage stats” in the Extension. Previously queued events are cleared when you opt out.
---
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
The Extension interacts with third-party websites only when you choose to use them and while you are logged into your own account. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Invoice Fetcher is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party brand.
---
DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only as needed to provide the Extension’s features:
• With third-party sites you select, using your existing browser session
• With PostHog, if you have analytics enabled
---
DATA RETENTION
• On your device: preferences remain until you clear extension data or uninstall.
• PostHog: anonymous events are retained according to PostHog’s policies.
• Our servers: we do not operate servers that store your order or invoice data.
---
YOUR CHOICES
• Disable analytics in the Extension footer
• Uninstall the Extension to remove locally stored preferences
• Clear Chrome extension data via chrome://extensions
---
CHILDREN
The Extension is not directed at children under 13.
---
CHANGES
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
