Invisible Patients Mission
The Invisible Patients Mission (IPM) is a Christ-centered home health care ministry that cares for those underserved frail patients.
“I was sick and you looked after me" - Matthew 25:36b
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. - 2 Corinthians 5:1
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. -Psalm 103:2-5
A hidden population of frail and/or homebound individuals are unable to access spiritual care and health care due to a combination of chronic illness and functional impairment. There are about 4 million of them in the United States and over 40 million in East Asia. The numbers are increasing fast because of population aging. Many homebound people are invisible to the church and health care providers. They have both the greatest need for primary/palliative/spiritual care AND the most significant difficulty accessing these services.
If they can't come to us, we go to them.
