A Press Release from HP Corvette Racing by TF Following a Test Session at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California: “The Corvette C8.R Has performed well at most US Based tracks, the only focus we have is specifying the Car on European tracks, as some such as Mugello and Monza have had the car performing less than expected on the Sim. We simulated a qualifying lap at Laguna Seca with both cars, and we analyzed the race pace, the Qualifying times were: 1:20:862, and 1:20:362. Since the C8.R is a GTE Car, concerns about it performing better than the GT3 Cars have been silenced, HP Corvette Racing by TF Sport have put the GTD Bodykit, the Car was purchased from Corvette Racing, and was originally the GTE Car that raced in the 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans, but since then has been modified for the IGTCS. The following Press releases will include information on how the team will operate in the 2026 IGTCS Season.”
